Just so you know we do not grade our palo, we order it and how it comes is how it arrives, no selective sorting to make each bit look unnatural perfect, our palo is beautiful in its own right with perfect imperfections. We accept the offering from Mother Nature as she intended.

Palo Santo is a mystical tree that grows on the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense, Myrrh and Copal. In Spanish, the name literally means Holy Wood. It is part of the citrus family and has sweet notes of pine, mint and lemon.
Palo Santo can be used for clearing negative energies, in a similar way to sage. It can also be used for healing. Additionally it can be used to aid meditation and help relaxation.
All our Palo comes from sustainable harvesting from fallen branches in Peru, did you know:-
it can take up to 4 - 10 years for the scent to be released from the wood.
Top tip: shave smaller pieces off with a knife or peeler and burn these, the thinner wood burns better and your Palo will last a lot longer. Alternatively the wood can be shaved off and burnt on charcoal or placed in an oil burner and indirectly heated to activate the volatile oils.
Remember a little goes a long way.
